Concrete Decking

Want a new posh addition to add glamour to your humble abode? Opt for a concrete decking right outside your patio. You can have the most fabulous summer pool party, complete with a barbecue grill set to satisfy your summer barbecue cravings, cold drinks flowing from your coolers and people lounging by the decks just outside your home. Building your very own concrete decking is easy and convenient. It provides an additional and comfortable portion for your concrete space.

Adding a deck over your concrete serves as a convenient foundation for your concrete decking. To create your very own concrete decking, just follow these easy steps. As always, before starting the more strenuous part of creating your concrete decking, gather the materials you will need in building your project decking. Some of the materials you will need are deck posts, deck beams, spray paint or maker, nails, and nail gun.

After gathering the preliminary necessities, you may start with the measurements needed for your concrete decking. Measure the length and width of the deck you will be using on the concrete slab. Measure the extent of the deck and set markings for the locations where you will place the deck supports.

For maximum deck support, place deck posts every eight feet, but if possible, you may place the deck posts every four feet. Mark the concrete slab where the four deck posts will be placed with a spray paint. Measure the slab again to ensure correct positioning for the corner deck posts. Then draw a 4 x 4 square on the concrete for the deck posts. Next, position the square bracket measuring 4 x 4 to the marked slot on the concrete and using a nail gun with 2-inch concrete nails.

Repeat this until deck posts are secured to the concrete floor and the square bracket is firmly positioned to the marked slab. Secure the square brackets by adding more deck posts lining the whole frame, which will carry the weight of the whole concrete decking. Using wood screws and a power driver, secure the whole frame ready to be added with the finishing touched of the deck wooden beams.

After installing all the deck posts square brackets, and securing the frame for the concrete decking, the next step would be to add your deck beams. Cut the beams to its right measurement to install them securely to the square beams already installed to the concrete floor. Place the deck beams to the deck post frame and using the nail gun with normal nails charged inside, secure the beams to the deck posts already installed. Do this until all the beams are properly nailed to the deck posts. In addition, there you have it, your very own concrete decking for your convenience.
